The SIRC is not only an NIMH-funded conference series, but also a contingent of experts whose collective interest is in advancing the field of implementation science with a focus on Evidence Based Psychosocial Intervention implementation research methodology issues. The core group of the SIRC has worked hard to identify experts in the field who together constitute the Strategic Planning Group (SPG). Our goal is for the SPG to promote collaboration between and beyond the conferences.
SPG members will have the opportunity to present their projects in development at the Implementation Research Development Workshop. This one-day workshop brings together experts in implementation research with junior colleagues and EBP Champions on the Saturday following the main SIRC conference (on Thursday and Friday). The workshop focuses on improving the rigor, generalizability, and efficiency of implementation research and evaluation projects in the planning and proposal stages. This workshop facilitates participants learning of trends and innovations in the field as well as building collaborations between participants.
